How fees work
What you pay depends on how you pay. Each answer is here in plain words, and our front desk goes through yours before your first visit.
Insurance we work with
We bill many kinds of plans and tell you whether we are in network with yours before you book. The list is by type of plan, not by company. Our front desk checks your plan card.
Most PPO plans
Marketplace plans
Medicaid
Medicare
Workers' compensation
Auto injury coverage
If you pay yourself
If you do not use insurance, you pay for each visit on the day. We tell you the fee before you book, and we do not bill your plan. A few reduced-fee spots are held for people who need them, so ask.
An estimate in advance
If you pay without insurance, we give you a written estimate before your first visit: what we expect your care to cost and what it includes. This is your right under federal law. If your final bill is $400 or more above the estimate, you can dispute it.
Checking your benefits
Our front desk checks your benefits and calls you with what they find, before your first visit. Your plan has the final say on what it pays. Your copay, deductible and coinsurance are set by your plan.
What the first visit includes
Your first visit is about an hour with a physical therapist. They listen, examine you, explain what they find and agree on a plan with you. They also explain the risks and the choices. Nothing is decided on day one that you have not agreed to.
Questions about paying
Does my plan cover this, and do you take Medicare?
We bill many kinds of plans, including most PPO plans, marketplace plans, Medicaid and Medicare. Your plan decides what it pays. We check your benefits and call you before your first visit.
What if I pay myself?
We give you a written estimate before your first visit, and you pay on the day. If your plan may reimburse you, we give you a detailed receipt to send in. Your plan decides whether it pays.
Do you treat injuries from work or a car crash?
Yes, for what we treat. If you were hurt in a crash or at work, get emergency care first. Tell us who your adjuster is. Your state decides who may direct your care.
Want to know what you would pay?
Call us or send a message. Our front desk can walk you through it before you book.
