Your first visit

  • Before you come

Our front desk checks your benefits and calls you. You can fill in forms on your own time through our portal, and you can call or message with questions.

  • At the visit

About an hour with a physical therapist in a private room. The baby is welcome, and we stop when you need to feed or change them.

  • Afterward

You leave with a plan in plain words, what to do at home and what the next visits would cover. We send a note to your doctor or midwife if you ask us to.

What to wear and bring

Come as you are. Nothing about a first visit needs a special outfit, and you stay clothed unless you choose otherwise.

Bring

  • Clothes you can move in, like leggings and a loose top

  • Your questions, written down or not

  • Your insurance card, if you have one

  • Anything your doctor or midwife gave you

  • The baby, and what you need to feed or change them

What is yours to decide

  • An internal exam is offered, not assumed

If an exam would help, we explain what it is, why, and what it involves. You can say yes, no or not today.

  • You can stop at any time

Tell us to slow down, pause or stop. We would rather know.

  • You choose who knows

We write to your doctor or midwife only if you ask us to. We keep your records private and share them only as the law allows.

  • Nothing is rushed

If you have more questions than time, we keep going or pick them up at the next visit.
